Compliance criteria

Obtaining “IGBC Green Homes” certification requires compliance with a minimum number of criteria for each performance area mentioned above. Each compliance criteria contain a number of specific points that allow a home’s environmental performance to be evaluated. Project earns points for criteria that they fulfill; those that earn more points are awarded a higher level of certification.

Silver	37-44	Outstanding Performance	The building demonstrating outstanding performance in most areas will achieve this.
Gold	45-55	National Excellence	The building pushing forward the boundaries of environmental performance will achieve this.
Platinum	56-75	Global Leadership	The building demonstrating exemplary environmental performance across the full range of issues will achieve this.
